  • Tammy Eagle Bull and Todd Hesson, Encompass Architects lead architectural design and construction. Tammy and her team have been on board since day one and has worked pro bono throughout the project.  We would not be at this point without her guidance, skill and commitment to this endeavor.
  • Cecil Steward, Dean Emeritus of UNL College of Architecture and President of the Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities, along with Donna Woudenberg initially tucked the community treehouse endeavor under its wing and acted as its (501(c) 3) financial agent until HLH obtained 501(c)(3) status. They will continue to support our vision and mission.
  • John Chapo, Director of the Lincoln Children's Zoo. The Zoo's Director is a lover of trees and treehouses!
  • Scott Wieskamp, Director of Lincoln Public Schools Facilities and Maintenance immediately saw the educational value of offering an exciting outdoor classroom experience to Lincoln’s students.
  • The American Institute of Architects of Nebraska have generously offered guidance, and provided free tabling space to HLH at their statewide conferences.
  • Michael Hootman has been a Senior Project Designer for some of the premiere architects in the United States. He has worked on major built projects in America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East totaling more than two billion dollars in construction. He is Executive Director for LEAF: Lincoln Environmental Arts Festival and has signed on as a mentor.
  • The Nebraska Wildlife Federation signed on to foster appreciation of wildlife, including birds that use trees and butterflies and insects that rely on trees for habitat.
  • Lincoln Green by Design is a project supporter.
  • The UNL College of Law E-Clinic provided free assistance to HLH as the nonprofit corporation was established.  Law students Li Peng and Jordan Heiliger were invaluable in bringing this process to completion.
  •  The Nebraska Historical Society and Museum originally identified Nebraska icons and images that could be incorporated into the structures.

We're bringing more people on board every day to build the first community treehouse in the nation.
